Gorillas & Wildlife Safari Rwanda 5 days
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On arrival at the Kigali International Airport you will be received by one of our delegate who will transfer you to Kigali for an exciting city tour to visit some of Rwanda’s memorial sites like the genocide memorial and also do some shopping of traditional African art plus craft. Soon after, continue to Ruhengeri to pleasure in the breathtaking sights of the rolling hills after which Rwanda has gained its international fame. Dinner Dine and slumber at Gorilla Nest Lodge or La Palme Hotel or Kinigi Guest House
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
After an early breakfast you will drive to Kinigi Park Headquarter where you will be briefed prior to beginning the exciting gorilla trekking within the park. Trekking through the hills, forest and swamps is quite challenging, tiring and demanding at times going for up to eight hours in the verdant forest. However, finally coming in face to face with these great primates is much worth all the effort. The park authority allows you to spend up to one hour in the presence of these gorillas and it is definitely a thrilling memorable experience. Day 3: Drive to Akagera National Park
Today you head to the east of the country to Akagera National Park following breakfast at Ruhengeri. As you arrive in the park, you will have a game drive in the afternoon during which you will see a diversity of birds plus animals like elephants, crocodiles, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and spotted hyenas. Dine and slumber at Akagera Safari Lodge/Dereva Hotel
Day 4: Canoe Ride
following breakfast, you can choose to have a game drive in the morning within the park or have a canoe ride on the beautiful Lake Ihema to marvel at the huge number of hippopotami, the giant Nile crocodile plus birds. Dine and slumber at Akagera Safari Lodge or Dereva Hotel
Day 5: Return to Kigali
Enjoy a game drive in the early morning and afterward drive back to Kigali.
